Session Description

We are excited to partner with Orchard's Children's Services' Post Adoption Resource Centers (PARC) to offer Art. You. Powerful. 

Art. You. Powerful. provides students with a unique experience of self-exploration and self-discovery through mindfulness practices and creative expression. Each week we will use mindfulness to explore our habits, obstacles, emotions, and sources of joy, followed by a discussion of how we are feeling as individuals and as a whole. After the conversation, students will be guided to express their discoveries through various art forms, including painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, and writing. In the final week of the program we will host an art show featuring the work of the students. 

​Over the six week program, students will become powerful, mindful creators, using multiple languages to express themselves. They will not only see their own power held inside, but also their collective power as a group.
