The Vision
Imagine a space fully integrated into the natural environment that is intentionally designed to communicate trust, authenticity, limitlessness, beauty, awe, and purpose. Now imagine that you are free to explore who you are in this space, with the help of fearless guides. What might you discover about yourself? How might you reconnect with your courage, your strength, your purpose, your limitlessness?
Summer 2025
In June 2025, The Epicenter will begin offering 1- and 2-week sessions to empower students ages 7- 22. World-class instructors will guide students (1 guide : 4 students), as they reconnect with themselves and their potential.
Each session will be governed by a unique theme. The themes serve multiple purposes: 1) they orient the session, giving it a direction that the student can explore in their own way; 2) they are related to areas where students and/or parents feel that an experience of empowerment would be most beneficial; 3) they connect students with nature, and, in doing so, with themselves.
At The Epicenter, the boundaries between disciplines dissolve and coalesce into one holistic understanding. Art, science, writing, music, history, philosophy, and mathematics are all incorporated seamlessly into our sessions, providing students with the opportunity to explore a theme in the way that is most exciting and beneficial to them.
Our approach is slow and deliberate. We spend most of our time in observation and reflection, absorbed in the process, engaging all of our senses, entertaining different perspectives. The Epicenter is founded on the understanding that nature is not something external to us; it is within us. The Epicenter recognizes that we are inextricably connected with each other and the planet. This understanding is woven throughout all aspects of The Epicenter’s work.
Upon departing The Epicenter Retreat, students will be given valuable resources to ensure that the experience of empowerment they received during the session remains strong. These resources include books, a closed online community specifically for our students, virtual meetings between guides and students, and community events.
