Wellbeing at Parallel
When we feel stuck in a situation or a feeling it's usually because we're accustomed to seeing things from a particular point of view. It can help to share our situation in an open, judgment-free and agenda-free space with someone who can guide us to see a different perspective, a different approach to a problem or a mindset.
Allison Paradise and Connor Maliesky of The Epicenter will be working with the team at Parallel each week to listen with a new perspective. We are not therapists or counselors, we're mindful mentors, guiding people in exploring and discovering what's true for them. Through this work, people often discover a more present, beneficial mindset and find the courage to take action in new ways.
Everything that is shared with us is confidential. This wellbeing resource is being provided to Parallel employees at no cost. We're open to meeting weekly, monthly, or however frequently works best for you, over the phone or Zoom.

Introduction to Connor & Allison
Connor graduated from the University of San Diego in 2018 with a BA/BS in mechanical engineering and a minor in mathematics. He worked in the engineering field for the next three years by day while aiding in the formation of an online spiritual community with a former religious studies professor by night. During this time he wrote daily reflections, led meditation groups, and aided in guiding participants through retreats both online and at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA. He then decided to honor his creativity and desire to work with people by becoming the community director at an art-centered makerspace. It was during this time he realized the value of combining self-reflective practices with the creative process of an artist. This realization led him to become part of The Epicenter.
