Summer Sessions

Our summer sessions are designed to empower students through guided exploration in nature. We focus on awareness of self, others, and the natural environment (mindfulness).

In each session we explore the environment using scientific inquiry, drawing, singing, poetry, writing, building, and dancing. Students are guided by instructors who are scientists and artists and who delight in play and discovery as much as the children we work with.

All sessions are Monday - Thursday. We offer half day (8-12) and full day (8-5) sessions.

Our sessions are intended for ages 7 -11. If we have enough interest, we will create another section and open up our sessions to younger students as well. Please email us before registering younger students to indicate your interest.

Our meeting location will change daily to enable us to explore as many different environments in Santa Cruz as possible, including Pogonip, Wilder Ranch, Natural Bridges, the Arboretum, Lighthouse Field, and Delaveaga Park. Drop-off and pick-up instructions for each session will be sent in early May.

The cost is $80/day, $320/session per student for half day sessions and $160/day, $640/session per student for full day sessions.

After registering, you will receive a health & safety form to be completed prior to the start of the session.
